CBSE Board Results 2025: Class 10 & 12 Results Out

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the Class 10 and Class 12 board exam results for 2025 today, 13 May 2025. Students can now check and download their scorecards from the official websites — cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in — by logging in with their roll number, date of birth, school code, and admit card ID. As per previous trends, the results have been released in mid-May, and CBSE has urged all students to avoid unverified sources and rely only on these official platforms for accurate information.

Major Change: CBSE Introduces Relative Grading System

Beginning with the 2024–25 academic session, CBSE has implemented a Relative Grading system to reduce the burden of academic pressure and eliminate unhealthy competition. Unlike the previous method that awarded fixed grades based on specific mark brackets (such as A1 for 91–100), the new system determines grades based on a student’s standing relative to their peers. This means that grades will now be subject-wise and may vary depending on the number of students passing and their performance levels in each subject.

Over 42 Lakh Students Appeared in 2025 Exams

In 2025, more than 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board exams conducted between February 15 and April 4. The Class 10 examinations ended on March 18, while Class 12 exams concluded on April 4. Looking at last year’s performance, around 22.38 lakh students had registered for Class 10 exams in 2024, of which 20.95 lakh passed — achieving a pass percentage of 93.60%. For Class 12, out of 16.21 lakh candidates, 14.26 lakh students cleared the exams, resulting in a success rate of 87.98%.
