The Harrier EV is not just another electric vehicle—it’s a robust, future-ready SUV designed to deliver exceptional performance, premium features, and impressive real-world range. With prices starting at ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory), the Harrier EV is set to take on a new generation of buyers looking for a capable and premium electric SUV.

Tata Harrier EV RWD – Variant-wise Pricing

Tata is offering the RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) Harrier EV in five variants, all powered by either a 65kWh or 75kWh battery pack:

These prices are introductory and ex-showroom, with AWD (or QWD as Tata calls it) variants expected to be announced on June 27, while bookings for all variants begin on July 2.

Powertrain and Battery Options

The Tata Harrier EV is built on the brand’s enhanced ACTi.ev platform, also seen in the Punch EV. For RWD variants, Tata offers two battery options:

With a combined torque of 504Nm, the Harrier EV RWD delivers one of the most powerful electric SUV experiences in its class. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds (with Boost Mode).

Tata claims the MIDC-certified range for the 75kWh variant is 627km, while real-world testing has shown a range between 480-505km, making it among the most efficient EVs on Indian roads.

Additionally, the Harrier EV supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functions, allowing users to power external appliances or even charge other EVs—useful during camping or emergencies.

Highlight Features – A Premium Tech-Loaded SUV

Tata has packed the Harrier EV with a host of premium features, mirroring and even surpassing its ICE counterpart. Notable features include:

Ride Quality, Suspension, and Off-Road Capabilities

To enhance driving comfort and off-road performance, the Harrier EV gets:

Despite being an electric SUV, Tata ensures it remains true to its rugged Harrier roots.

Design Updates – EV Identity Retained with Harrier DNA

The Harrier EV retains the familiar silhouette of the facelifted Harrier but with EV-specific styling cues:

Dimensionally, it is 2mm longer and 22mm taller than the ICE Harrier, with the same 2,741mm wheelbase. The boot capacity stands at 502 litres, expandable to 999 litres, and there’s a frunk available for extra storage.

Battery Warranty and Ownership Benefits

One of the biggest highlights is the lifetime warranty on the battery for the first private owner. In case of ownership transfer, the battery warranty remains valid for 10 years or 2,00,000km, whichever is earlier.

Final Verdict

With the Harrier EV, Tata Motors has redefined expectations in the premium electric SUV space. Offering a great mix of performance, real-world range, cutting-edge features, and safety, it positions itself strongly against future competition like the Mahindra XUV.e8 and Hyundai’s upcoming electric SUVs.

Tata’s aggressive pricing strategy, combined with a practical range and segment-first features like auto park, summon mode, and a world-class infotainment system, make the Harrier EV RWD a compelling choice for both enthusiasts and everyday users.

Stay tuned for the AWD variant prices and full battery range details on June 27, and if you’re planning to book, mark your calendar for July 2.
