The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially started the KCET 2025 Counselling process. Candidates who have qualified in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET or UGCET) can now participate in the first round of web option entry. The option entry link is now active on the official website – cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

 

Important Dates for KCET 2025 First Round Counselling:

  • KCET 2025 Option Entry for eligible candidates (as per preference): Till July 15, 2025 (11:59 pm)
  • Display of mock seat allotment list result: July 19, 2025 (after 11:00 am)
  • Provision to change options (add, delete, modify or re-order or alter options): July 19, 2025 (2:00 pm) to July 22, 2025 (11:59 pm)
  • Publication of first round real allotment result: July 25, 2025 (after 11:00 am)

Essential Documents for KCET Counselling:

Ensure you have the following documents ready for the counselling process:

  • KCET 2025 Admit Card
  • Class 10th and 12th Marksheets
  • Study Certificate from the school (for all years of study in Karnataka)
  • Caste and Income Certificate (if applicable, with RD Number)
  • KCET 2025 Rank Card
  • Kannada Medium and Rural Study Certificate (if applicable, countersigned by BEO/DDPI)
  • Aadhar Card (Identity Proof)

Important Note for Veterinary and Farm Science Courses: If you have obtained separate ranks for practical and regular programs in veterinary and farm science courses must enter your options separately for each.

The tuition fee structure for KCET 2025 varies based on the course, college type (government, aided, unaided, private), and candidate category.

  • For Engineering and Architecture courses, fees generally range from Rs 44,000 to Rs 1,21,610.
  • For Allied Health Science courses, the tuition fee for the general category ranges from Rs 14,000 to Rs 76,380.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories typically have lower fee structures.

  1. Visit the official website of KEA: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
  2. Look for and click on the “KCET Counselling 2025 option entry” link available on the homepage.
  3. A new page will open, where you will need to enter your registration details (e.g., CET number and password).
  4. Click on “Submit” and log in to your account.
  5. Now, carefully fill in your preferred college and course options. It’s recommended to research college cutoffs, location, and placements before making your choices.
  6. Once you have finalized your options, click on “Submit”.
