The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially declared the CA Final and Intermediate Results for the May 2025 exams. Candidates who appeared for these examinations between May 16 and May 24, 2025, can now access their results through ICAI’s official portals — icai.nic.in and icai.org.
How to Access Your CA May 2025 Results
Accessing your scorecard is a straightforward process:
- Visit the official ICAI result websites: icai.nic.in/caresult or icai.org.
- Click on the relevant link: Look for “Final/Intermediate Result May 2025.”
- Enter your credentials: Provide your ICAI roll number and registration number.
- Complete the CAPTCHA: Enter the security code displayed on the screen.
- Submit and View: Click ‘submit’ to check your result. It is highly recommended to download and print your scorecard for future reference.

Some Important Result Information
For all candidates, both successful and those planning their next attempt, please read below points carefully :-
- Statement of Marks: Your official statement of marks will be dispatched by post within 30 days. If not received within 4-5 weeks, you can inquire by emailing exam.dmsinter@icai.in (for CA Inter) or dms_examhelpline@icai.in (for ICAI Final).
- Pass Certificates: Candidates clearing both groups (either together or group-wise) will receive their pass certificate within 60 days. For non-receipt within eight weeks, contact exam.dmsinter@icai.in (for CA Inter) or dms_examhelpline@icai.in (for CA Final).
- Passing with Distinction: Achieve 70% or more of the total marks in one sitting across all papers of an examination to be awarded a “Pass with Distinction” on your certificate.
- No Improvement Option: ICAI does not offer an “Improvement” option. You cannot reappear for a group you have already passed.
- Rank Certificates: Rank certificates are issued up to the 50th rank on an all-India basis to candidates who:
- Passed the examination in one sitting.
- Did not avail of any earlier exemption in any paper.
- Secured a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. These will be sent to concerned Regional Offices for distribution.
- Verification of Answer Books: You can apply for verification of your answer books via the Self Service Portal (SSP) within one month of the result declaration. The fee is ₹100 per paper, with a maximum of ₹400 for all papers of a group/both groups/unit. Note: There is no provision for revaluation.
- Certified Copies: Apply for scanned copies of your evaluated answer books online through the SSP dashboard within 30 days of the result date. The fee is ₹500 per paper, and copies will be sent to your registered email ID.
ICAI Inter May 2025: Performance
The Intermediate examination also saw a significant number of aspirants testing their mettle.
- Group I: Out of 97,034 candidates, 14,232 passed, leading to a pass percentage of 14.67%.
- Group II: From 72,069 candidates, 15,502 cleared, recording a pass percentage of 21.51%.
- Both Groups: Among the 38,029 candidates who appeared for both groups, 5,028 qualified, resulting in a 13.22% pass rate.
CA Final May 2025:Achievers
The CA Final examination continues to be a formidable challenge, and the May 2025 results reflect its demanding nature.
- Group I: Out of 66,943 candidates, 14,979 passed, recording a pass percentage of 22.38%.
- Group II: From 46,173 candidates, 12,204 qualified, achieving a pass percentage of 26.43%.
- Both Groups: A total of 29,286 candidates appeared for both groups, with 5,490 successfully clearing, resulting in an 18.75% pass rate. This demonstrates the exceptional dedication required to conquer both levels simultaneously.
1. What should I do if the ICAI result portal is not loading or shows an error ?
Due to high traffic on result day, ICAI’s official websites may become temporarily unresponsive. In such cases:

Wait a few minutes and refresh the page.

Try accessing the site using an incognito/private browser window.

Alternatively, try during off-peak hours (early morning or late evening).
2. Can I get a duplicate mark sheet if the original one is lost or damaged ?
Yes, candidates can apply for a duplicate mark sheet by submitting a written request to the ICAI along with a nominal fee and relevant identity proof. Details are available under the “Students > Exam” section on icai.org.
3. Will ICAI consider grace marks for the CA Final or Inter exams ?
ICAI does not officially disclose whether grace marks are awarded. However, in certain cases to ensure fairness, ICAI may award grace marks to adjust for paper difficulty or borderline cases. This is entirely at the discretion of the examination authority.
4. Can I reappear in a group if I passed but want to improve my marks ?
No, ICAI does not allow reappearing for improvement in CA Intermediate or Final once a group is passed. The concept of improvement is not applicable in these exams.
5. How can I check if I’m eligible to appear in the next CA Final or CA Inter exam ?
After passing the required group(s), students must ensure:

Fulfillment of ICITSS/Advanced ICITSS courses (as applicable).
